Overview – Music Sections according to Richard Strauss

The topic of my project Alpensinfonie is the embedding of individual coloured hearing of music into the multiplicity of cross-sensory perception, associations, thinking, etc. A variety of associations and implications of meaning continuously occurs in mind during daily life, in example when walking in the mountain area or listing to music.
My intention is to pick out the interaction of the disparate and often contradictory aspects of perception, imagination and thinking as a central theme. How do these aspects merge, or do they just exist in parallel?
With reference to Richard Strauss’ symphonic poem Eine Alpensinfonie, op. 64, twenty-two assemblages try to exemplify the disparate aspects which always swirl in mind.
